This position reports to the Alliance Coordination.

All roles supporting the organization’s program will require the highest level of discretion, with particular attention to security protocol, to protect staff, partner organizations and clients.

Main responsibilities:

  • Promote and apply the organization’s PEERS (Partnership Excellence for Equity and Results) system.
  • Support the Partnership Coordinator’s management of pre-award responsibilities, including partner identification, partner vetting, and pre-award assessments in accordance with PEERS requirements.
  • Carry out assigned responsibilities within project support plans and ensure all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with agreed support plans.
  • Assist in the overall management of all associations as delegated by the Association Coordination and all PEERS processes/documentation.
  • Help the Alliance Coordination develop and consolidate partner information on their narrative proposals and budget.
  • Incorporate input after internal review of the proposal and partner agreement to ensure compliance under the direction of the Senior Partnerships and Grants Coordination.
  • Assist in the drafting and monitoring of the partner agreement with the coordination, with all relevant internal units and the compliance unit at headquarters, including the finalization of the OTIS (Organization Grant Management Platform) flow.
  • Maintain complete and organized partnership files for each partner.
  • Support the implementation of the PEERS system in all areas of sub-award management, including completion of pre-award evaluation, review of partner budget, selection of procurement tools, assistance in preparation of all agreement packages of sub-awards and review of sub-awards. through OTIS, subsequently sub-award amendments and helps ensure that specific donor requirements are reflected in sub-award agreements.

Team management:

  • Supervise and guide personnel who report directly to him/her, or who perform functions associated with Alliances. It includes communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, and providing regular and timely feedback on performance.
  • Train, train and guide the staff with whom you work with the objective of strengthening their technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing guidance for professional development.
  • Attend team and coordination meetings to facilitate collaboration between units to ensure a comprehensive Alliances strategy for the organization.   

DELIVERABLES:

  • Monthly compliance reports of the actions carried out.
  • Regular reports to present the implementation progress of partner organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor ‘s degree in any discipline of the Social Sciences (not exclusive), a master’s degree in these disciplines is desirable.
  • Two to three years ‘ work experience in humanitarian / developmental programming involving project cycle management . _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
  • Fluency in English , spoken and written . _ _ _ _ _
  • Previous experience in managing grantees and partnerships in ECHO SIDA , GFFO , BHA , GAC , USAID projects is desirable . _ _ _ _

  • Solid writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid competencies in project cycle management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a general ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal , cultural and diplomatic skills . _ _
  • Strong organization and time management skills; Proven ability to prioritize, deliver on time, track and manage key processes.

Strong analytical problem-solving skills

Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional team structure.

Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels (internal and external).

Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner
