Vision.
The Vision of Community Development and Sustainable Organization (CDS) is a community that is empowered to advance knowledge to access basic needs which can promote sustainable livelihood through self-reliance and community participation
Mission.
Our mission is to facilitate development based on self-reliance, self-sufficiency through effective implementation, promotion and support of integrated community development with full participation, ownership and promotion of right based approaches of the communities.

Objectives
1. To improve women peace efforts and security in the community for better development and sustainable initiatives in the community.
2. To promote women good governance and advocacy through increasing awareness on the public resources usage of various programmes and projects as well as promotion of community ownership
3. To promote awareness on women saving culture of the available resources management and impact skills to change mind set and adaptation to the skills.
4. To promote quality education, adult literacy programmes and affordable vocational skills to the vulnerable youth and women
5. To improve the status of women, child rights and human rights issues in the community.

Context
We are looking for Online Volunteers that will support us in sharing innovative fundraising ideas and researching potential donor organizations and funding opportunities. The Online Volunteers should focus primarily on the US and Europe(Globe) to research potential donors to fund the Women and Girls Education Scholarship (WAGES) communities in Cheptais Kenya. The project will be primarily addressing school ,college and university going children who need support for school fees and tuition due to their financial backgrounds. Online Volunteers will never be requested to make donations in-kind or financial contributions, or to solicit donations from third parties.

Task description
We are looking for 10 online volunteers to support us with the following tasks:
• develop a fundraising strategy,
• share innovative fundraising ideas,
• research potential donor organizations and funding opportunities
• help draft letters and correspondence,
•Improve our current proposal
• advise on how to approach donors.
Previous records on doing the same will be an added advantage. Volunteers will not submit funding themselves nor will submit any funding proposals on our behalf. The role will be ongoing for 2 months.

Required experience

Some knowledge/experience with fundraising/developing fundraising ideas added advantage and also with online fundraising platforms.

Languages
English, Level: Fluent, Required
