- Conduct outreach activities to identify clients for the Women in Action Program. Complete screening, intake, and assessment requirements.
- Organize workshops on a multitude of topics and coordinate with guest speakers and interpreters to provide workshops that meet the needs of the clients.
- Facilitate group discussion in a safe space utilizing trauma informed approach tools.
- Assist clients with navigating barriers to program attendance including transportation and childcare.
- Conduct research on existing services that clients need and make referrals to those programs including domestic violence resources, mental health services, and economic well-being services.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client data and take necessary steps to obtain relevant program data.
- Assist clients with mapping their short and long-term goals.
- Attend regularly scheduled team meetings, communities of practice meetings, all-staff meetings, and meetings with other IRC staff and volunteers as part of the review, evaluation, and program maintenance process.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience working with non-native speakers of varying levels and backgrounds required
- Demonstrated experience facilitating adult classrooms and workshops
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to network and diplomatically manage a variety of internal and external relationships required.
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines required.
- The ability to work effectively with partners and colleagues in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment required.
- Familiarity with the greater Seattle area with special regard to existing social service support systems desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Commitment to anti-racism and ongoing learning required.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; Fluency in an additional language relevant to current refugee populations desired.
