SCOPE OF WORK:
The Technical Assistance Officer in Education is in charge of the activities of technical assistance, advice, accompaniment and the direct management of the relationship with the social organizations that implement actions of the education program in Cundinamarca, framed in the childhood and adolescence policy, as well as the policy of comprehensive care for Early Childhood in Colombia and education policies. Likewise, the Technical Assistance Officer in Education supports the fidelity of the criteria for the identification , characterization, selection and attention of the beneficiaries in the project activities and is responsible for accompanying the safeguarding policies and technical quality of the implementation. of the program.
Objectives of the position :
- Train Partner Organizations and their staff, and other stakeholders in comprehensive care for girls and in formal and non-formal educational environments, in CRI methodologies.
- Support in the development of training methodologies and support in the application of pedagogical tools in institutional, community and advocacy settings .
- Provide technical assistance , advice and support to partners and allied organizations for the development of initial education activities in emergencies.
- Direct training in the use of IRC methodologies and content .
- Document lessons learned and best practices from the Education program’s technical assistance model.
- Document, systematize and monitor the actions carried out within the framework of the technical assistance of the Education program.
- Supports periodic monitoring of compliance with indicators and goals by implementing partners and strategic allies.
- Support the research that is developed in the program projects by providing articulation and technical quality.
- Support formal and non-formal education proposals that allow us to serve diverse populations or those in vulnerable conditions , who have difficulties participating in traditional educational offerings.
- Direct support activities to strengthen allied organizations . _ _
- Guarantee the technical, logistical and operational execution of the actions that are under your responsibility in the program work plan.
- Support the construction and design of contents, structures and technical plans according to the required needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination and Representation
- Represent the interests of the education program and the IRC and support the relationship with strategic partners and allies hand in hand with the senior education officer.
- Accompany and support good relationships with communities, community leaders, civil society organizations and others that are considered hand in hand with the senior education and field management officer.
- Regularly attend coordination meetings, articulation at the field level and other required meetings according to your load.
Development of the program
- Guarantee compliance with the objective of the education program from the technical assistance processes, based on its approach and model; as well as IRC standards and policies.
- Contribute to the development of technical proposals and research in relation to the approach and model of the education program.
- Support the different areas/pillars of the Monitoring and Evaluation education program model.
- Contribute to monthly reports .
- Contribute to required measurements and data collections . _
- Data entry , updating and purification of information .
Other Responsibilities
- Other tasks, as assigned by the supervisor contributing to the programmatic development of the IRC.
Qualifications
Professional requirements
- Professional in Education, Initial Education , Pedagogy, Social Work , Sociology, Psychology and/or related.
- Minimum two years ‘ experience in humanitarian sector organizations or non -governmental organizations .
- Experience in early childhood/ initial education
- Experience in education/educational inclusion / flexible models
- Experience in technical strengthening and partner supervision .
- Experience in training and training processes .
- Experience in community work and/or in vulnerable environments .
- Experience working with children , adolescents and caregivers .
Desired competencies and skills
- Understand and be interested in the well-being of children , adolescents and their families in humanitarian emergency contexts.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients and information provided by users .
