Context
At this critical juncture for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) development, SIDS youth should play an active role, uniting their respective voices toward a common goal. The aim of the questionnaire is to collect information on the issues and topics SIDS youth feel are most pressing as data collected will aid in determining most frequent/recurring responses in general, across various regions, age groups, and sex/gender.

Task description
To collect information/data on the perspectives of youth from Small Island Developing States (SIDS), we seek the support of 45 Online Volunteers, who under the guidance of UNOPS New York will:
-Research their assigned Small Island Developing State or SIDS region to identify pathways to engaging with youth online
-Distribute the questionnaire created by UNOPS to youth from SIDS using online platforms, etc. to get the highest possible amount and diversity of responses.
-Create/prepare a report capturing the findings
The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about how data can support the dialogues behind and outcome of the 10-Year Programme of Action for SIDS (2024-2034).
Requirements
Required experience
Candidates should have in-depth understanding of concept of data collection and experience in conducting qualitative data collection. An advanced degree in the area of data is considered an advantage. Professional level of verbal and written English is required.
