About work:
DRC is managing its operations in Mexico, under the direction of the DRC country office in CdMx and two field offices located in the states of Tamaulipas and Chiapas. DRC Mexico is implementing activities such as protection monitoring, legal assistance, individual protection assistance for PWSN, information sessions for PoC, prevention of human trafficking, rehabilitation of health infrastructure and food security.
Objective of the position : The general services assistant and driver will be in charge of transporting passengers to the places established by the organization according to the times and procedures and of supporting administrative activities derived from the support area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide transportation services for authorized personnel and/or deliver and pick up miscellaneous items/products, following the authorized itinerary and respecting DRC safety rules and regulations to ensure safe and efficient service.
- Notify the person responsible for all mobility and identification of security risks for transfers in the City and State.
- Daily review of the assigned vehicle/s, ensuring proper maintenance and cleaning of the assigned vehicle/s through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs and adequate planning of the vehicle’s mechanical maintenance.
- Guarantee the appropriate and efficient use of the assigned vehicle through the accurate recording of daily routes, generation of inputs for route planning and official vehicle reports.
- Manage the availability of documents/supplies by ensuring that all required documents/materials are available in the vehicle, including accident insurance, vehicle registrations, office directory, emergency chain, city/country map, first aid kit first aid and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle, etc.
- Comply with current traffic regulations and the safety and use of vehicle/s policies established by DRC.
- Implement duties in accordance with the DRC Code of Conduct and represent the DRC in an appropriate manner.
- Apart from working as a driver, perform basic office-related tasks, such as filing, photocopying and keeping warehouses in order as appropriate, including the delivery or removal of various items, the postal service, among others.

Experience and technical skills
- Minimum experience of two (2) years in passenger or merchandise transportation with references.
- Current license in category B.
- Knowledge of traffic code, basic mechanics, customer service attitude with passengers and staff
- Ability to concentrate and work as a team.
- Knowledge of local area throughout the State of Chiapas.
- Punctuality and respect for DRC rules and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.
