JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the position is to support the programmatic staff and the M&E manager in the correct implementation of the monitoring and evaluation processes, based on the general strategy of NRC Colombia and the correct implementation of the projects executed in the Area Offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, manuals and guides that apply to your functions.
  2. Support with the implementation of the project portfolio according to the action plan
  3. Implement procedures and activities interchangeably within one’s own function or basic competence as delegated.
  4. Responsible for the organization and execution of tasks in accordance with assigned priorities and standards.
  5. Develop and maintain knowledge of the area of ​​work specialization in which technical assistance and support is provided, in order to be more effective in supporting the team.
  6. Show initiative in solving daily problems in accordance with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the work area.
  7. Prepare and develop required status reports
  8. Ensure proper filing of documents
  9. Promote and share ideas to strengthen the functions of your role.

Specific responsibilities

  1. Carry out follow-up activities on the projects in execution of the Central Area in accordance with the programmatic planning and the M&E guidelines and the PCM project management cycle.
  2. Support the management of information on the population served by the Central Area in accordance with the characterization and service delivery parameters established by the M&E Monitoring and Evaluation Unit.
  3. Conduct Post Distribution Monitoring surveys of the project components in charge.
  4. Support in the application and systematization of surveys, interviews, focus groups and other tools for measuring indicators and evaluating the impact of the Area’s projects.
  5. Provide assistance in consolidating information by establishing clear and reliable inputs for needs assessments, programmatic reports and impact evaluation exercises.
  6. Support staff and implementing partners with technical assistance based on the correct implementation, improvement/updating of NRC monitoring and evaluation procedures and tools.
  7. Facilitate routines that guarantee compliance in the delivery and quality of data on the population served and the reporting of GORS indicators, according to the guidelines established by NRC and Donors.
  8. Support those responsible for Program management in the organization, verification and maintenance of the physical and digital file on activities related to the implementation of assigned Programs and projects.
  9. Follow up on the updating and consolidation of relevant digital files of the Area’s projects and other documents required for accountability to beneficiaries, implementing partners and/or donors.
  10. Support the M&E leader and program teams, providing data for the proper management, analysis and use of the information collected.
  11. Support the Area’s programmatic management team in monitoring the planning, initiation, mid-term review, closing and post-closing meetings of the assigned projects.
  12. Collect inputs that demonstrate the contribution to the change generated by monetary transfers and NFI deliveries in the assisted population.
  13. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor that are clearly related to the objective of the position and assigned projects.

RATINGS

  1. Specific skills, knowledge and experience of the context:
  • Professional in social and human areas with training in monitoring social projects.
  • Minimum work experience of one (1) year in technical support for community intervention processes or in humanitarian action and monitoring processes.
  • Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Knowledge of the Colombian Humanitarian context.
  • Proven experience using MS Office, especially Excel (Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point) and databases.
  • Fluent command of Spanish (written and verbal), knowledge of English is not essential for the position, but will be highly valued.

¢ LEGAL NATURE OF THE CONTRACT AND REQUIREMENTS

The link between NRC and the person to be hired will be established through a fixed-term employment contract of less than one year, in accordance with Colombian labor legislation, with monthly payment according to the NRC Colombia scale.

 

“NRC defines its salaries based on a nationwide evaluation and salary scale. Therefore, all salaries of new employees are set on this scale and can range between $2,500,000 and $2,700.00 depending on the specific grade of the vacancy to be filled by the selected person. It is important to note that NRC has limited salary negotiation capacity”
