OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The overall objective of the Immunisation program at WHO is to provide relevant,actionable data to systematically drive continuous and equitable health improvement and policy change. Central to this is the availability and use of sound health information at country, provincial, district and subdistrictlevels.The regular publication/ production and dissemination of health statistics for immunisation and VPD surveillance at the country, provincial, district and subdistrict levels are core WHO activities. One of the key products of WHO’s Triple Billion framework, for guiding the work of countries to meet the health-related SDGs equitably. Data and Analytics/Monitoring will assist assess the country progress to meet the country targets and course correction when processes are off track.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Support coordinated assessment exercises (and/or preparedness) from an information management/data analysis perspective, as required. Provide support in developing an agreed, context-specific data collection and analysis methodology for coordinated assessments. Provide technical assistance and guidance to the Immunisation program with a focus on information management practices that support quality data. Facilitate, through information management best practices, a harmonized approach to needs assessments within/across the Cluster/Sectors. Ensure Clusters/sectors are using the Key humanitarian indicators as well as the Common OperationalDatasets.Support the undertaking of joint assessment, as required. Provide guidance to Immunisation program on the analysis and interpretation of various data collected routinely and through preventive and outbreak immunisation responses
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: First university degree in Public health, data science, statistics or related field.
Desirable: An advanced degree in Public health, data science or statistics.
Experience
Essential: Up to1 year of relevant experience in analysing and/or management and dissemination of health data, of which at least one year experience with international organization.
Desirable: Experience in dashboard development and maintenance
Skills
Proficient with R, particularly the tidy verse suite (dplyr, tidyr, rlang).Package development expertise.Knowledge of the Triple Billion framework and associated methods.Knowledge of Triple Billion R package environment.

REMUNERATION
Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at ZMW 602,687 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
