187: Senior Engineer in Mechanical

The General Directorate of Real Estate, with its existing capacity to effectively manage and utilize government properties, has played a better role, which has led to an increase in government revenues. 

This department, having specific procedures, contract formats, and standard terms and conditions, carries out its related affairs transparently during the contract stages in accordance with the Land Management Law and other applicable laws and procedures. Through the GIS system, the area of ​​properties is determined in a standardized manner and its registration is carried out in a regular and transparent manner in the database system by professional and experienced employees in accordance with the policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Job Objective: Planning and designing mechanical sections in normal and development construction projects of the department’s infrastructure as needed, taking into account the recommendations of accepted national and international standards in the center and provinces.

Job Objective: Planning and designing mechanical sections in normal and development construction projects of the department’s infrastructure as needed, taking into account the recommendations of accepted national and international standards in the center and provinces.

Specialized tasks

   Planning, analysis and design of heating, ventilation and cooling systems for commercial, industrial, residential, sports and parking lot repairs.

Planning, analysis and design of heating and cooling center networks for projects in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

 According to national and international norms and codes (CHILLERS & FAN COILS SYSTEMS), planning, analysis and design of fan coil and chiller systems.

Planning, analysis and design of international air handling unit systems in accordance with national and international norms and codes (AIR HANDLING UNIT SYSTEMS).

Planning, analysis and design of air conditioning systems (SPLIT SYSTEMS) in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Planning, analysis and design of water supply and sewerage pumps according to national and international norms and codes

Planning, analysis and design of septic tanks, holding tanks, grease traps, sumps and sewage treatment (divates system) in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Planning, analysis and design of various types of water reservoirs and deep wells in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Planning, analysis and design of internal and external networks of various types of fire extinguishing (firefighting) in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Planning, analysis and design of elevators, stairs and electric gates in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Duct design, analysis and construction according to national and international norms and codes (garbage shut) 

Design of the project’s gas network in accordance with national and international norms and codes

Planning, analysis and design of external drip and sprinkler irrigation networks in accordance with national and international norms and codes.

Complies with national and international standards and codes ASHRAE, SMACNA, IMC, IECC, UMC, ASPE, IFC, PHCC, NAHB 

Full knowledge and familiarity with international software (AUTO CAD, WATER CAD, SEWER CAD, WATER GEMS, SEWER GEMS, REVIT, HAP, DESIGN BUILDER, LATS HVAC, DUCT SIZER, PIPE SIZER, TRACE 700)

Management tasks

Preparing and arranging monthly, quarterly and annual work plans in accordance with the general plan of the department, in order to achieve the set goals.

Providing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and when necessary, on the activities and achievements of the relevant department, in order to inform the leadership.

Performing other duties assigned by competent authorities in accordance with the laws, regulations and objectives of the department.

Coordination tasks

Ensuring coordination between relevant departments, departments of the department and outside the department on issues

Employment requirements (educational level and work experience)

The minimum requirements for this position are listed in Article (7) and Appendix (2) of the Civil Service Personnel Law. 

  Field of study

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, higher degrees are preferred.
• Required experiences (type and duration of experience)
• Other skills (short courses, in-service training, etc.)
• Professional and administrative skills
• Proper use of task-related computer programs
• Knowledge of the country’s official losses

Work experience: Having at least five to eight years of work experience related to the task and practically implementing complex projects that meet the job description.

Required skills: Fluency in official languages ​​(Pashto and Dari) and full proficiency in English and computer skills in job-related programs.
