The Ministry of Finance is responsible for preparing and implementing the budget, collecting taxes, regulating and controlling government expenditures and payments, and regulating customs affairs. It is essential for every government to be aware of its internal and external affairs so that it can organize its financial resources with accurate information and allocate them effectively. The most important condition for the success of a government is to prevent budget deficits. To prevent budget deficits, the proportion of revenues and expenditures must be considered, and serious measures must be taken in regulating their affairs and necessary actions must be taken so that, on the one hand, revenue collection increases and, on the other hand, unnecessary expenditures are prevented.

Specialized tasks
- Installation and configuration of network devices such as routers, Cisco firewall switches and various companies
- Create policies to protect the network from external and internal threats
- Installation and Configuration of OFMS System Servers
- Network monitoring, obtaining and maintaining backups of network equipment in case of emergency
- Configuring Cisco Devices Protocols
- Familiarity with IPSEC security protocols and creating environments for DMVPN, SSL VPN, etc.
- Solving technical problems of the OFMS system in the center and the second budget units
- Design and arrange plans for the development of networks, systems, and servers at the central and provincial levels of the country.
- Ensuring the provision of technology services to center employees for better use
- Conducting training programs for office employees on how to properly use information technology tools in the workplace for effective use.
- Preparing and organizing proposals for planned projects and information technology development in the center and provinces
- Preparing and arranging standard specifications for the department’s information technology equipment in coordination with the Information Technology Department for effective use.
- Fixing technical problems in the department’s information technology system and preventing internal and external damage to networks so as not to hinder the performance of duties and activities of department staff.
- Monitoring the technical affairs of the servers to ensure that they are active for reasonable use in official affairs of the department.
- Control and monitor the branch internet to prevent abuse and send reports on the network status to the relevant department.
- Ensuring the creation and installation of security systems such as firewalls and antiviruses on computers and servers to prevent delays in the operation of the information technology system.
- Participate in the design, preparation, creation, review, and monitoring of the Ministry’s information technology policies.
- Participation in technical evaluation meetings for information technology projects, software and other information technology tools
- Managing and directing subordinate employees to ensure their effectiveness, motivation, and discipline, and that they perform their duties to the appropriate standards.
Management tasks
- Preparing and arranging monthly, quarterly and annual work plans in accordance with the department’s general plan to achieve the department’s set goals.
- Providing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and when necessary, on the activities and achievements of the relevant department in order to inform the leadership.
- Performing other duties assigned by the competent authorities in accordance with the laws, regulations and objectives of the department.
- Establishing communications and coordination with relevant departments and the General Directorate of Treasury.
Employment conditions
Have Afghan citizenship
His/her age must not be less than (18) years and not more than (64) years.
Educational level : Having a bachelor’s degree in computer science from an educational institution inside or outside the country that has been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
Work experience : At least three years related to the job.
Required skills
Ability to lead and control the relevant department
Ability to plan and determine the policy of the relevant ministry
Proficiency in one of the official national languages (Pashto or Dari)
