Job Description:

Assist in the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of customs tariff and pricing-related matters in light of international standards and customs principles.

Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities

Customs duties :

  1.  Analysis and classification of commercial goods according to the Harmonized System of Tariffs (HS).
  2. Informing about World Customs Organization policies, initiatives, and other changes related to customs tariffs;
  3. Monitoring and analyzing the tariff policies of countries involved in trade, especially neighboring countries;
  4. Providing professional solutions to definitional conflicts and classification of complex commercial assets;
  5. Providing technical assistance and training to other staff in drafting tariff-related policy and legislative documents;
  6. Providing accurate research and analysis of commercial goods to the Tariff Committee for the purpose of making the best tariff decisions;
  7. Continuously research and report on the implementation, impacts, and expected outcomes of tariff changes;
  8. Planning for effective support of domestic industry, balanced trade growth, and increased customs revenue;
  9. Proposing changes in customs tariffs in accordance with the needs of the domestic, regional, and international markets;

Pricing related tasks :

Assist in the investigation and determination of the customs value of goods according to the methods of the World Customs Organization.

Provide technical assistance in developing pricing procedures and guidelines and train other staff;

Technical investigation and evaluation of the validity and authenticity of commercial property prices and related documents

Methods for preventing risks and fraud related to valuation and professional resolution of related objections;

Research on factors involved in determining the value of commercial property

Review and evaluate international and domestic sources for accurate pricing

Price comparison, analysis and report creation of similar products

Assist in the implementation of international trade rules (Incoterms) and provide training to other staff;

Education and skills:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, financial management, business administration, international business, or public administration; Master’s degree preferred

Priority is given.

At least 3 years of work experience in customs, pricing or trade analysis and at least 4 years of work experience in other fields

  • Professional report writing skills
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
