I. JOB DESCRIPTION/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall, the objective is to establish a database of potential investigators for the implementation of our activities related to research, monitoring and evaluation of our projects/programs.
Therefore, this recruitment is not linked to specific projects but will allow us to build a database of investigators in the province of Tanganyika which will be used at the appropriate time as needed.
Specifically, the objectives are to:
– Have a network of investigators well trained in interview techniques;
– Have a network of investigators who master data collection and transmission tools;
– Train investigators on IRC security standards during field missions;
– Familiarize investigators with the contractual aspects of IRC, etc.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the responsibility of the research team/projects that will be designated, the investigators will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
– Actively participate in the training which will aim to detail the goals of the different surveys, the methodology used as well as mastery of the questionnaire;
– Conduct investigations while respecting the methodology delivered during training;
– Complete the questionnaires with precision and rigor;
– Maintain the confidentiality of questionnaires;
– Strictly respect the instructions given for the conduct of this investigation;
– Respect the recommendations that will be given to them to support and strengthen their capacities;
– Transmit the collected data to the Manager/Supervisor who will be designated to them.
Qualifications
– Have at least a state diploma.
– Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative surveys (structured interviews, semi-structured interviews, focus groups);
– Experience in collecting data from a mobile terminal (Tablets, Smart phone) ;
– Excellent command of French and local languages;
– Be able to stay in rural areas and work in difficult environments;
– Be able to work in a team, independently and under pressure within short deadlines;
– Have a good capacity for analysis and synthesis;
– Good knowledge of the humanitarian situation in the DRC in general and in the East in particular is an asset;
– Good interpersonal relationships and ability to put people at ease;
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word in particular);
– Ability to take detailed notes on computer or by hand;
– Ability to write reports and analyze;
– Strong spirit of collaboration and flexibility;
