Mission and objectives
Youth Co:Lab positions young people front and center in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
Context
#Movers4Climate is a pathway of the Movers Programme, a regional movement of volunteers who develop climate awareness, entrepreneurial mindsets and 21st-century skills by conducting localized training at a grassroots level. The Movers Programme uses a training-of-trainer approach and works with community partners to target harder-to-reach groups and support YECAP’s objective to leave no youth behind. YECAP is a safe and inclusive space for youth to meaningfully engage in climate action.

To ensure that no youth is left behind by addressing language barriers and facilitating outreach to young people in community groups, we are seeking to collaborate with Online Volunteers for the translation of Climate Education Toolkits. By providing translation support, it will create inclusive spaces where young people, particularly those who are indigenous and living in local areas, can actively engage in learning, discussion, and exploration of social issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
