RESPONSABILITES

Monitoring and technical support to the partner on the implementation of the SASA approach

·  Provide the partner with technical support to organize, conduct and monitor awareness sessions, workshops and focus groups by identifying target groups.

·      Ensure training for community activities on the implementation of the SASA approach

·       Inform girls and women about GBV preventive practices

·      Through participatory approaches, help leaders and other community representatives participate in SASA activities.

·        Organize radio broadcast activities related to SASA activities

·        Organize community workshops on GBV prevention activities.

·  Participate in the development of a SASA training and support program

·  Develop, in collaboration with targeted groups, Information, Education and Communication (IEC) methods and materials appropriate for active community mobilization linked to the prevention of and response to GBV;

Monitoring, technical support to the implementing partner of CBO, CEFE and Discussions on gender norms activities

·   Provide technical and methodological support regarding the management of OCBs, including monitoring the application of internal regulations, criteria for member participation and objectives main, to be modulated according to the original capacities of each organization.

·     Develop management strategies for these grassroots community organizations that spare members from misuse of resources;

·    Reassure yourself with your partner of the effective implementation of the OCB exit planning by observing the effectiveness of carrying out the activities planned before the exit;

·   Carry out regular and personalized monitoring of partner CBOs in the field according to the planning established with the component Supervisor;

·     Carry out joint supervision with the Ministry of Women and Family and the partner on the effectiveness of GBV activities within the project

Coordination, Planning and reporting

·        Ensure with the partner good reporting of activities and data in the project narrative report

·     Collaborate with other members of the PAF team and other sectors to ensure good program integration,

·       Establish a positive relationship with community members,

·  Actively participate in all other activities in the evolution and consolidation of the program as needed.

·  Collaborate effectively with other components and colleagues from other sectors to plan activities taking into account the needs raised in the different intervention sites;

·     Respond to any requests as part of the evolution and consolidation of the program.

·  As a member of the team, ensure availability at all times to intervene in the event of an emergency, as indicated by the Coordination.

·   Ensure respect for the confidentiality of survivors at all times and ensure its punctual application at all levels.

Is available to carry out any other one-off task deemed useful by his direct superior or by the IRC.

Qualifications

·    Have a university level diploma (graduate) in social science, development or other similar preferably in the field;

· Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in the field of community work;

·  Experience in training and formal and informal capacity building of adults;

·  Working experience within an international NGO and with foreign people desired;

·        Experience in community training and awareness;

·   Experience and proven interest in the issue of violence against women.

SKILLS

·        Strong working skills, in a team and independently;

·        Availability and motivation to work several days a week in the field and in difficult conditions;

·        Interpersonal communication skills;

·        Great care in his work, real capacity for appropriation;

·        Ability to participate in a completely neutral and transparent manner in program activities

·        Strong written expression and synthesis skills;

·        Great ability to follow instructions, standards and procedures;

·   Flexible and able to work efficiently during busy periods, and manage different priorities;

·        Discreet and protect the confidentiality of beneficiary, staff and agency information;

·        Excellent command of French and Swahili required, knowledge of other local languages    would be an asset;
