       RESPONSABILITES

Quality of implementation of activities:

·  Plan and coordinate the implementation of programmatic and operational activities of the Governance and social cohesion component in the intervention areas;

·      Carry out missions in the different areas of intervention with a view to providing the technical support necessary for carrying out activities Governance of education services, strengthening of systems education, social cohesion, community resilience;

·     In close collaboration with the project manager, ensure that aspects relating to the implementation of PDIA (Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation) interventions in targeted areas;

·      In the intervention area, identify the measures decreed by the government and local authorities which promote inclusion and social cohesion between the different ethnic groups;

·     Participate in the identification of needs and contribute to the development of modules and capacity building tools for state actors, civil society, youth associations and committees working in the governance of services, the strengthening of education systems, social cohesion, community resilience,

·  Contribute to the use of different governance approaches such as EvaCIPT, FIRE, PDIA, Women and Local Leadership to promote sustainable solutions in terms of social cohesion and cohabitation peaceful ;

·    Contribute to establishing FIRE committees and ensure that committee proposals receive the technical, logistical and financial support necessary for their realization, in collaboration with the Project Manager;< /span>

·      Manage the implementation of the PDIA approach, and ensure that the committees’ proposals receive the technical, logistical and financial support necessary for their realization, in collaboration with the Project Manager

·     Ensure quality technical support for all mass activities organized to strengthen social cohesion and peaceful cohabitation;

·     Identify and involve stakeholders external to the project who can contribute to the success of the actions developed through the PDIA, Women and Local Leadership, FIRE, etc. approaches

· Propose strategies to ensure the integration of young people into mechanisms/structures and processes working for social cohesion and alternatives to violence;

·      Develop strategies to strengthen the leadership and networking of women in order to increase and promote their influence in efforts to ensure peaceful cohabitation between host communities and refugees Burundian,

·    In collaboration with the Project Manager, contribute to the collection of data and the completeness of the monitoring tools deemed necessary by the action;

·     Facilitate the incorporation of participatory principles in all action activities;

·       Facilitate the inclusion and participation of all layers and social groups of the community in project activities;

·        Support the achievement of gender equity in field activities;

·    Ensure that the action is executed in an impartial manner and that project activities are carried out in appropriate cultural and social channels, while following the steps, approaches and methods recommended by the project;

Reporting and participation in coordination mechanisms:

·    Provide a clear and regular report to your supervisor on the progress of activities, problems encountered and any information likely to be useful to the project;

·      Actively participate in all meetings or project coordination and external communication initiatives deemed necessary by your supervisor;

·        Enforce and support the mission, values ​​and spirit of the IRC;

·        Follow and apply all IRC codes of conduct and policy;

·      Participate in preventive initiatives and report all cases of violations to the appropriate IRC authority.

Monitoring & Knowledge management assessment:

·        Support in the management of information linked to the action

·        Ensure that ethical and meaningful data collection and information management systems are in place for appropriate program analysis, planning, evaluation, and advocacy are generally consistent with the M&E program;

·   Participate together with the MEAL department in citizen perception surveys, analyzes of conflict dynamics and gender, diversity and inclusion analyzes in the areas of intervention;

·  Under supervision of the project manager, and in close collaboration with the MEAL coordinator, and the Technical Coordinators, ensure data analysis and that lessons learned are properly documented , shared and analyzed are taken into account in planning and decision-making concerning the project;

·        Ensure that the customer feedback system is effective;

·        Assist the Project Manager with the quality and timeliness of the reports to be produced.

 

 

Qualifications

 

·     University diploma (A0) in law, sociology, political and administrative sciences or equivalent;

·  At least 3 years of experience in development project management, and real skills in the design, execution and monitoring of community governance projects;

·   Demonstrate proven knowledge of approaches and methodology in governance and systems strengthening,

·   Demonstrate knowledge of approaches and methodology for social cohesion, peacebuilding, community resilience, alternatives to violence;

·    Demonstrate knowledge in organizing and carrying out training;

·     Ability to ensure the active participation of the population and to engage with sub-national authorities, youth associations and other local NGOs to develop synergies of work ;

·        Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication qualities;

·  Ability to work constructively within a team with a wide variety of people;

·        Very strong capacity for initiative and working independently and in a team;

·        Ability to participate neutrally and transparently in activities;

·     Very organized, and capable of providing weekly and monthly planning for a complex action;

·     Honest, rigorous, conscientious, demonstrating strong abilities to design, respect and enforce procedures;

·     Be willing to live in a rural setting, work in stressful situations and deal with the unexpected;
