Mission and objectives

The UNESCO Office in Dakar, also called the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office for West Africa or UNESCO Dakar, represents UNESCO in fifteen West African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo). It covers all areas of UNESCO’s competence, namely education, natural sciences, social and human sciences, culture as well as communication and information.

Context
The UNESCO Regional Office for West Africa has prepared its 2023 annual report with the intention of disseminating it to communities, civil society, as well as partners and donors, both at level of the 15 countries covered as well as on the international scene.

Task type
Art and Design

Task description
The successful volunteer must demonstrate good command of graphics tools and propose an original layout with a high standard of the UNESCO Dakar annual report in French (50p); subsequently, he will have to adapt the English and Portuguese version. He/she must take into account the graphic charter applied to the official documents of an agency of the United Nations System. The volunteer will receive the report by email and will be given credit for their collaboration in the document.

Required experience
The volunteer must have a good command of layout and graphic design tools. They must have a good understanding of French and English.
