Context
(The purpose of this DOA is to complete a recording gap in UVP per guidance to MDF from UNV. This DOA Assignment has already been completed for MDF by 4 online volunteers on onlinevolunteering.org)

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is committed to ending violence against women, promoting human rights and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To accomplish this purpose, Project Back to Job was started by MDF in 2017 with the mission to help acid attack victims resume a normal life. Project Back to Job has been implemented by MDF through online volunteering support from 2017 to 2019. In 2023, MDF began the work to revive its efforts on Project Back to Job – more details will be available soon on MDF website.

According to research conducted by MDF, with the support of online volunteers, it was found that 80% of the acid attack victims worldwide are women. Thus, Project Back to Job plays a key role in helping MDF advance the object of ending violence against women.

Acid attack victims are mostly people with Disabilities. Disability inclusion is very important for Sustainable Development Goals achievement and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) agenda. More information on this is available as follow:

To that end, we are seeking to collaborate with Online Volunteers in implementing the Project Back to Job that aims to establish that we will not let acid attacks corrode lives. This is aimed to be accomplished by various means such as education, technical empowerment, awareness, providing aid, and more.

Task description
Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is seeking support of online volunteers to develop and implement strategies for enabling employment of acid attack survivors globally.
The work conducted by the online volunteers will aim to establish that acid attack survivors deserve equal employment opportunities and enable employment aid to survivors.

The online volunteers will initially be given guidance by MDF on program plan and schedule.

The online volunteers will then execute against the program plan conducting various sub-tasks such as :
a) Studying the state of acid attack problems globally, at the level of every continent and priority countries impacted by the attack
b) Research on support available for acid attack survivors currently at a global level and what are their pain points
c) Building and running a community to generate global awareness on the problem of acid attacks
d) Gather inspiring success stories of acid attack survivors who resumed employment and share those to the community
