Duties and responsibilities
The Ceremonial Event Operationalization Analyst will be responsible for managing the execution of all official G20 ceremonies and events, in compliance with international protocols and procedures. The Ceremonial Event Operations Manager will work in close coordination with the Ceremonial Analyst, to whom he will be subordinate. To achieve the objectives, the following indicative activities are planned, among others.
• Oversee and manage all activities related to ceremonial and protocol during G20 meetings.
• Ensure that all events and ceremonies run smoothly in accordance with international standards of etiquette and protocol.
• Plan and manage the execution of opening ceremonies, plenary sessions, receptions and other events related to the G20.
• Ensure that the arrangement of leaders and delegations is in accordance with protocol and the appropriate order of precedence.
• Organize the arrangement of flags, national anthems, formal greetings and welcome speeches.
• Supervise the logistics of ceremonial activities, including stage management, audio and video equipment, interpreters and other necessary elements.
• Ensure that ceremonial activities are carried out punctually and that all participants are aware of their roles.
Institutional Arrangement
The Ceremonial Event Operationalization Analyst will be part of the team of the aforementioned Logistics Coordination Center allocated to the MRE and will be subject to the direct supervision of the Ceremonial Analyst of this MRE Center and the coordination of the UNDP project. This is a position financed by project(s), with an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal during the validity of the initiatives.

Required skills and experience
Minimum education requirements:
•Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in International Relations, Public Relations, Administration, Mass Communication or related field is required, or
•University graduate degree (university bachelor’s degree) in International Relations, Public Relations, Administration, Social Communication or other related fields in combination with 2 additional years of experience will be given due consideration in lieu of a master’s degree.
Minimum years of relevant professional experience:
•Up to 2 years (with a Master’s degree) or minimum of 2 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of experience in the area of protocol and ceremonial of international events.
Required skills:
•Experience in international events.
Desired skills, in addition to the skills covered in the Skills section:
•Experience in event planning;
•Experience in ceremonial activities at large events (from 500 participants);
•Experience in protocol and ceremonial activities at international events
Required languages:
•Fluency in Portuguese and English.
