Duties and Responsibilities
A consultant passionate about data will support the analysis, assessment and integration of methane data reported by OGMP 2.0 companies into the IMEO annual report.

He/she will be responsible for transforming the raw data into insights into the oil and gas sector. He/she should be familiar with the types of data that are input into the database and into the analysis to ensure accuracy and understand/improve quality control measures. He/she will support the development and documentation of data analysis protocols and help the senior data analyst with developing the analyses and trends that will be included in the IMEO annual report.
Qualifications/special skills
– Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in mathematics, statistics, science or engineering
– A first-level university degree in combination with five years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
– At least three years of proven work experience in data analysis or emissions quantification and reporting
– Experience in using and deploying dashboards with self-service reporting tools (PowerBI).
– Familiarity with the oil&gas sector a plus
– Strong SQL experience is a must.
– Proficiency in using and deploying dashboards with self-service reporting tools (PowerBI).
– Understanding of ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a data warehouse or analytical database.
– Knowledge of techniques and best practices for ensuring data quality throughout the ETL process, including error handling and validation.
– Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis, such as Python and/or R.
– Experience with data manipulation libraries and frameworks.
– Strong quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy;
– Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural team
Languages
– For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English. Additional languages are an asset.
