Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:
Client Services:
- Assist clients in assessing and resolving current financial challenges, while providing a wide lens on their financial health to shift the approach to proactive financial management
- Ensure that changes (new job, new benefit, and change in credit score) are properly documented in relevant systems.
- Assist client with applications for and follow up on interest-based credit-building and consumer loans through the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO).
- Capture client success stories
- Develop workshop materials or tailor existing materials to meet the needs of the community. Workshop topics may include the following: budgeting, savings, banking products, credit building, and identity theft.
Program Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.
- Ensure quality assurance by conducting periodic case file and electronic data reviews.
- Coordinate cases and effectively communicate between team members and departments.
- Assist with high-quality program reports for IRC headquarters and funders and ensure programs fulfill funder and agency requirements.
- Conduct outreach for community-based financial education and financial capability events.
- Represent the department in the local community; develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations.
- Participate in all program meetings and staff development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of related professional experience in financial capabilities
- Experience in a non-profit setting and/or financial coaching services a plus
- Experience managing staff and/or volunteers
- Experience working in a diverse, and non-traditional setting with diverse staff and client base
- Knowledge of financial services and/or public benefits systems preferred.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual ability preferred. Preferably in Spanish, French, Arabic, Dari, Farsi and/or Pashto.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
- In accordance with Arizona State Law, must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card.
