Duties and Responsibilities
The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator will report to the Regional Youth and Civil Society Specialist with close collaboration with BRH Programme Management Unit and with the Global Policy Network, UNDP country offices, and other key parties.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Ensure coordination and efficient support to development and management of the new Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and reporting system of the Regional Youth Empowerment Portfolio, in close coordination with the UNDP BRH Regional Youth Team and UNDP country offices.
- Project reporting in accordance with project requirements both internally to UNDP and to project donors.
- Ensure coordination and efficient support to the upcoming grant evaluations/reviews of the projects under Youth Empowerment Portfolio, working closely with the Evaluation Consultant/s.
- Supporting monitoring of management responses of the 2022 Regional Youth Project Evaluation and 2023 YECAP Evaluation
- Coordinating delivery and publication of an external facing report/s disseminating the results and lessons learnt derived from the donor report of the Youth Co:Lab project.
- Providing data and evidence to support the development of necessary project components of Regional Youth Empowerment Portfolio.
- Providing support and guidance on monitoring and reporting related questions to the Regional Youth Team and UNDP Country Office focal points.
- Convening learning activities to improve the knowledge of RBAP COs and BRH Youth Unit based on the findings from M&E activities.
- Support to enhance the learning approaches under Youth Empowerment Portfolio both at regional level and national level including updating welcoming packages, learning management sessions on project areas, etc.
Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in sustainable development, business/public administration, social/political sciences, international relations, language, literature and communications or other related expertise areas is required. OR
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in combination with additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the Master’s degree
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of experience in project monitoring and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate data collection and reporting processes, preferably at the regional level
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of youth socio-economic empowerment and Leaving No One Behind principles, including in the Asia-Pacific context.
- Previous experience of coordinating project evaluations with a UN agency is an asset.
- Experience of planning learning activities to disseminate evaluation findings and project results.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams across different countries and offices.
- Prior experience in development agencies is an asset.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets in a tight deadline.
Language Requirement
- Fluent in English is required.
