Job Description:

The accountant is mainly responsible for recording transactions, checking supporting documents for completeness,, transfer related activities.. He will look after checking and control of the vouchers/invoices to make sure that the expenditures are as per the policy and practices of the organization.. He/she should prepare vouchers in excel including payroll vouchers but not limited to, posting vouchers into the accounting system , processing data, making approved adjustment entries, PoB HO record reconciliation with the accounting system. He will also be responsible for  cash and bank books along with the accrual adjustment transactions. In addition, the accountant shall be responsible for any task assigned by the line manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Preparing the vouchers and posting vouchers into the accounting system.
  • Checking and reconciliation of regional and Kabul Cashbooks, Bank Books, and JV books with the accounting software.
  • Preparing cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciling Payment on behalf (PoB) record of Head office with the accounting software monthly wise.
  • Responsible for local and international transfers.
  • Ensure that budget IDs and charts of accounts are correctly reflected in the paper works and accounting software.
  • Working closely with the admin team to complete documentatioin related to procurement. .
  • Preparation of approved adjustment vouchers and entering to accounting software at the end of fiscal month.
  • Ensure compliance and check expenses considering compliance notes.
  • Ensure the relevance of expenses as per the allocation policy of the organization..
  • Ensure taxes are deducted from the suppliers and employees prior initiating the transfer and payments.
  • Assisting finance team in all matters relating to the internal audits, responding to external auditors,  preparing information required for internal and external sources.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line managers. .

Job Requirements:

Education:  Graduate from any recognized university, having BBA, or Economics with finance accounting specialization. ACCA student with at least 3-5 applied skills paper passed will be preferred.

Experience: At least 3 years working experience preferably with one of the international NGO’s or renowned local organizations.

Knowledge and skills: Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English, and local languages.  Skilled in use of computer and Microsoft office specially Ms Excel. Knowledge and skills of  Microsoft Dynamic 365 ERP.

Other Skills: Should be able to work under pressure. Must be patient and having good communication and problem-solving skills. Willing to travel in the regional offices.

Required Core Competency: Analytical skills, Familiarized with QuickBooks. knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365 ERP would be desirable.
