Label STEP comprehensive fair trade standards encompass universal human rights, including the prohibition of child labor; decent living and working conditions; fair wages and eco-friendly production. One of the cardinal activities of Label STEP is creating awareness among the weavers and workers in the carpet industry through different channels, your radio is selected for that purpose.

Job Description:

The Admin/Finance Assistant is responsible for carrying out administrative function, accounting and management of financial records in Label STEP regional office in Balkh province with possible field trips to the neighboring provinces for the support of program activities.

Overall Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Finance Officer based in Kabul, the Admin/Finance Assistant is responsible to perform a set of duties related to daily administrative functions in the office and properly recording and management of financial documents in the office.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • In close coordination with the Head-Office in Kabul, perform daily administrative activities including but not limited to; preparing and recording all required documentations under different projects.
  • Prepare list of required materials and equipment including maintenance needs of equipment and submit them to Kabul office for processing.
  • prepare and maintain accurate list of asset/equipment provided for general use of departments and individual staff members.
  • Manage and properly record office stock for both equipment and expendable materials.
  • Conduct purchasing of materials and equipment requested and needed for the support of projects and program.
  • Collect and properly record all required documents for every transaction from requisition stage to delivery notes.
  • Assist in preparing monthly budget for expenses and submit to Kabul Office for further processing.
  • Assist in preparing staff monthly attendance timesheets and submit them to Kabul office on monthly basis.
  • Assist in preparing timetable for the office guards and drivers including log-books for the number of destinations traveled by the office vehicles.
  • Ensure that all rental contracts for the office compound and vehicles are up-to-date and properly recorded.
  • When and where required, take active part with the program teams in conducting field trips and provide logistical and administrative supports for trainings, meetings and workshops.
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by line-supervisors.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance with 2 years of work experience or at diploma level education with at least 4 years of administrative, accounting and financial management experience with national or international organizations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to northern provinces for provision administrative support and logistical arrangements for the support projects and program.
  • Having good communication and teamwork skills
  • Computer skills, having knowledge of Excel, Word processing PowerPoint presentations and internet/emailing.
  • Ability to plan and implement office activities and meet the deadlines according the work plan.
