Job Summary
The Analyst IT Service Desk is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves direct interaction with users, identifying problems, and implementing solutions to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of IT systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitoring and analyzing network traffic and activity for any signs of intrusion, attack, or vulnerability.
• Responding to and resolving security incidents and breaches.
• Conducting risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Educating and training new staff on security best practices and awareness.
• Researching and staying updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
• Maintaining and troubleshooting firewalls, encryption, antivirus, VPN, IPsec, DMZ, etc.
• Monitoring all endpoints via EDR solutions.
• Monitoring all endpoints via NDR solutions.
• Monitoring all endpoints via Forti analyzer for network traffic and any signs of attack
• Investigation into the incident and preparing the report.
• Attending daily technical sessions with all Etisalat departments.
• Following up the new cyber security new security projects.
• Monitoring active directory via security tools.
• Daily troubleshooting and managing of NAC/PAM/IAM solutions.
• Integrating network devices as well as servers (Linux and Windows) with PAM
• Any other activities assigned by manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, IT Fundamentals, and ITIL is preferable.
Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or in a similar technical support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications, including MS Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Outlook.
Familiarity with network troubleshooting and a basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
Understanding of different types of malwares and how to prevent them.
Basic knowledge of phishing and how to identify phishing attempts.
Understanding of security best practices.
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
– Occasionally required to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
– Typical office environment.
– May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on the needs of the organization.
