- Minimum 8 years of working experience in the development or corporate sector. Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a managerial role. ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified will get the preference.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Purpose: As an Assistant General Manager, Accounts Consolidation & Trust Fund, you will be responsible for streamlining consolidated accounts and reporting, ensuring tax compliance, and contributing to ongoing ERP development to optimize financial processes and facilitate comprehensive, accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Consolidation Accounts team to ensure the accurate and timely consolidation of financial data from diverse business units.
- Review the consolidated accounts with the team to identify any areas where further attention/correction is required and to take actions accordingly.
- Enhance the overall financial reporting quality including IFRS compliance, Disclosures and reviewing components in the Annual Report for further improvement.
- Communication with external auditor/internal auditor to clarify issues (if required) and review with their draft report/observations before finalization.
- Drive the development and implementation of reporting enhancements within the ERP system, ensuring comprehensive and insightful financial reporting.
- Oversee the fund accounts and regular monitoring of the investment from the funds ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Ensure annual audit of fund accounts is within the stipulated timeline.
- Play a crucial role in ongoing development, customization, and optimization for reporting and other functional needs.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to define ERP project requirements, ensuring alignment with financial goals and regulatory standards.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to team members for their professional growth and development
- Communicate with different program heads, external and internal auditors, BRAC IT, and departmental functions within the organization for the successful delivery of the role.
- Maintain co-ordination with Programs/departments for clarification on the monthly variance and highlights.
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
