Experience & Training:
- At least 1-2 years or more of sound experience in project management, especially with a focus on MEAL and MIS area in the development/Humanitarian sector.
- Extensive hands-on experience in implementing M&E strategies and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Extensive experience of working with NGOs and CSOs is preferred. Experience with community-based and / or volunteer organizations is an advantage.
- Previous experience in programme/project design and implementation is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of information systems, database management, and reporting,
- Basic knowledge in Power BI or Google Data Studio will be an advantage.
- Experience and skills in basic statistics, MIS, and report writing.

Responsibilities & Context
Project: Natural Resource Management (NRM), Funded by WFP
Type of contract : Fixed term contract
Duration of Contract : Up to 31 January 2026 (if not extended)
Job Summary: The Associate Officer – MIS will be responsible for managing and coordinating the MIS to support data collection, storage, and analysis for the NRM project funded by WFP. The role includes ensuring that all data collected is accurate, processed, and reported effectively. The MIS Officer will work closely with the Project Manager and field staff to ensure that data systems meet project needs, are aligned with WFP requirements, and contribute to informed decision-making. This role also involves building the capacity of staff to use MIS tools efficiently and ensuring that data is securely stored and shared as per confidentiality and reporting guidelines.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to):
Develop and Facilitate MEAL Framework (25% of time)
- Support the implementation of MEAL framework.
- Assist in coordinating accountability systems.
- Help collect and organize accountability practices data.
Data Collection and Reporting: (35% of time)
- Coordinate data collection from field staff, stakeholders, and partners.
- Ensure data entry and processing follow WFP and ActionAid standards.
- Develop and generate regular project reports, including progress updates, performance indicators, and outcome assessments.
- Report project data to WFP, ActionAid, and the project team in a timely and transparent manner.
- Handle all data securely and in line with data protection policies.
- Keep project data confidential and share it only with authorized personnel.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Develop and Update MEAL and MIS Tools: (10% of time)
- Develop new M&E and accountability tools following CHS standards.
- Update existing accountability tools.
- Develop and update the IPTT monthly.
- Train staff, stakeholders, and project participants on new and existing MEAL tools.
- Ensure M&E and accountability tools are used at all levels within the organization and by stakeholders.
- Design the Management Information System (MIS) for the NRM Project and create data collection formats.
- Implement and maintain the MIS for the project and help prepare MIS reports as needed.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly and quarterly progress reports based on MIS data.
- Support the preparation of the Issues Log and Risk Log for the project.
- Maintain a database of participant engagement information.
Capacity Building and Staff Training: (10% of time)
- Provide basic technical support to field staff
- Assist in training sessions for data collection
- Help staff with basic troubleshooting of MIS tools
- Support CFW data collection and entry.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Coordination: (10% of time)
- Collaborate with key project stakeholders, including field staff, technical teams, WFP, and local partners, to ensure smooth data management and reporting.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and relevant teams on data management progress and challenges.
- Coordinate with WFP to ensure alignment with donor requirements, reporting schedules, and information-sharing protocols.
Relationships:
- S/he will report to the Officer – MIS. S/he will work as a team member in this project.
Compensation & Other Benefits
Monthly Gross Salary BDT. 57,794 with other admissible benefits such as
