Job Summary

The automotive specialist is responsible for physically inspecting, overseeing, and reporting any diagnosis issues related to vehicles. Reporting the diagnostic report to the department head is also his responsibility. Additionally, the automotive specialist will be responsible for overseeing vehicle inspections and ensuring that internal rules and regulations are adhered to.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the need for spare parts for the AWCC-Company vehicles through planning, organizing, and management.
  • Creates schedules, writes repair orders, schedules vehicles for repairs, and carries out preventative maintenance programs.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues with vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the transport procurement team to acquire required spare parts or inventory.
  • Assist the team tasked with purchasing transportation and buy the necessary spare parts for the company’s workshop.
  • Use transportation manuals and experience to plan repair procedures.
  • Managing the use or storage of old parts and orders.
  • Performs standard maintenance and general mechanical work on cars.
  • Based on the plan, conducting and reporting vehicle inspections with transport and procurement teams properly.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of automotive mechanical technical experience.
  • Completed an associate degree program in automotive maintenance and repair will preferred.
  • Familiarity with the standard practices and equipment used in the diesel and gasoline mechanic industry.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of operating gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Understanding how to fix and maintain light to heavy trucks and fleet equipment.
  • Capability to fix all diesel pumps and injector systems in cars.
  • The ability to utilize the necessary tools and skills.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, assigning, supervising, and inspecting others’ work.
  • Skill in keeping records and producing reports
  • The ability to establish and maintain a productive working relationship with other employees.
  • Familiarity with automotive air conditioning systems.
  • Able to utilize diagnostic equipment.
