World Concern Bangladesh, a Non-Government Organization has micro-finance program both in urban and rural areas of different districts in Bangladesh. World Concern Bangladesh is searching an energetic, smart & potential candidate for the position of ‘Branch Manager’ for Rural Micro Credit Program (RMCP) for Kotalipara Branch under Gopalgonj District. Detail of Job Description and other necessary requirement for the position is described as below:
Responsible to : Area/Regional Manager
Responsibilities:
- The nature of this is mostly field based. Therefore, the Branch Manager must emphasize visits and make the necessary time for it.
- Preparing and displaying daily collection target of savings & loan amount and ensure 100% collection. Also ensuring entry all the transaction in gBanker software with daily banking to avoid cash at hand.
- Must able to assessing and understanding the social and economic condition within the area/region setting of Bangladesh.
- Must be able to operate gbank software and motoring through gbank daily basis.
- Ability to taking active part in loan disbursement as well as to supervise loan recovery by the program officers. He/she should be able to making proper plan on cash flow projection of his/her branch on a daily/monthly basis.
- Ability to rendering the required technical services as requested by the clients who have taken loan from WCBMCP.
- Knowledge of office administration and willingness to follow the rules, regulations and policies that are set by the management from time to time.
- Ability to identifying with the projects goals and objectives and to have commitment for working with the poorest of the economically active in the project area setting in Bangladesh.
- Ability to work in a team and cooperating with team members, particularly in crises period.
- The Branch Manager’s standard indicator has to be attained:
- 1) Monthly branch OTR 99%
- 2) PAR below 5%
- 3) Outstanding each PO have minimum 65 lakh.
- 4) Each PO have 300 members, 250 Clients
- The Branch Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing all project activities within branch. Principal responsibilities include the following:
- I. Coordinating the micro and small enterprise loans that are processes by the program Officers as per the credit manual/policy as well as guidelines and polices given by the WCB management.
- II. Providing overall supervision to all the Program Officers under the Branch and providing them with all necessary guidance. The individual clients, files that are maintained by the branch manager must be checked on a routine basis.
- III. Visiting clients for studying the economic, viability of the projects to be undertaken by the potential business men/women, and ensuring that the loans will be properly received, utilized and recovered. Managing the loan disbursement and collection of his/her portfolio.
- IV. Monthly operating cost/salary cost have to be send Head office on due time (1 to 10 every month)
- Coordinating and assisting the business men/women to implement their promotional and marketing activities, which may require working with other NGOs and GOs. Attend at DC office meeting of their required time.
- Developing and implementing the training and technical assistance program for the clients. The training is given to the clients on site and during the loan disbursement day.
- Making contacts with the irregular clients and find out ways to solve different problems in relation to loan repayments.
- Ensuring proper collection, documentation and processing of information, and ensuring, and ensuring appropriate monitoring systems of the clients and their loan status.
- Keeping track how loan is being given, what is being recovered, how much service fee and interest are being earned and what the amounts of outstanding and overdue loan are within his portfolio. He should also properly maintain a petty cash for official conveyance and other expenses.
- Collecting monthly reports from each Program officers and prepare branch office monthly report and submit to Area/Regional Manager after necessary review of the reports. The reports should often accompany interest stories of the successful clients with photos of client’s activities.
- Providing all necessary information, vital statistics and documents to projects manager for preparation of six-month reports. These should also accompany case studies or interest stories of the successful clients with photos of client’s activities.
- Receiving daily collection from the program officers and then depositing daily collected amount in the bank. Also properly keep all the documents of the program i.e. collection sheet, loan proposal, approval, disbursement, saving withdrawn etc. as on the program manual in date to date.
- Maintaining the individual client ledger correctly and keeping it always up to date. The paid off receipts of all clients must be checked on a regular basis by the Branch Manager.
- Attending the monthly Branch Manager Meeting and other meeting as may be organized by the program and take active part and be able to creatively contribute in the meeting.
- Assisting and contributing in preparation of the WCBMCP monthly prayer/newsletters.
- Maintaining proper account of the office equipment, assets and properties of the branch and ensuring the safety and security of them.
- Any other related duties as may be assigned by area/Regional Manager of WCBMCP.

Compensation & Other Benefits
- Salary Range: Minimum Tk. 25,000/- to Maximum Tk. 30,000/- (Depends on Candidate’s required and preferred education, skills & experience, software knowledge and other considerations as per Job Description) on three months’ probation period.
- Other Benefits: As per Organizational Policy after Confirmation which includes Yearly increment, Provident fund, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Life Insurance, Paternity/ Maternity leave, weekly 2-day holiday, mobile bill, travel allowance and others as per Organization policy.
