Description:

UNICEF is looking for a seasoned professional who will provide professional support to implement the Child Protection programme interventions of the UNICEF Country Office with a focus on Children in Armed Conflict. To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Requirements:

  • Education: An advanced university degree preferably in human rights/IHL law, international development or social/political sciences. A first-level university degree in lieu of an advanced degree may be accepted with additional two years of experience.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at national and international levels in child protection, including international work experience. Background with Protection in Emergency and previous experience on the MRM/CAAC and on CAAFAG.
  • Background/familiarity with Emergency situations.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, or Russian) or the local language is an asset.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
