Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The cleaners will ensure the cleanliness of the UNHCR office (including lavatories, meeting rooms, offices, passageways, and common areas) and surrounding areas by performing daily cleaning and weekly and monthly deep cleaning as per detailed work instructions and procedures.
- The cleaners will replenish and clean water dispensers.
- The cleaners will request replenishment of required cleaning materials in good time from Ancillary Services Supervisor.
- Perform various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc. Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
- Emptying trash cans.
- Cleaning windows and doors.
- Liaising whit the line manager to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times.
- Informing the line manager of repairs that need to be done
- Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Baccalaureate degree is required and bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO.
- Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is advantage
- Self-Motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.
- Cooperative and team-working skills
- Being flexible regarding working hours.
- Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
