Job Description:

Responsible for overall TFU basic cleaning and waste management tasks in line with HF cleaning schedules and HCWM (health care waste management) procedures and disposal guidelines.

o Maintain specific cleaning and waste disposal care of TFU ward to make sure that all contaminated and hazardous/unsafe and sharp materials/items are safely and timely removed and disposed.  
o On daily basis, collect, sort and dispose of TFU garbage 
and medical/ hazardous waste in target locations (incinerator) utilizing/using personal protective equipment and recommended disposal methods within the TFU. o

o Take care of and replenish routine TFU supplies such as soap, hand sanitizers, paper towels, toilet paper, washing and cleaning materials/disposables. 
o Maintain and prepare consumables within the health facility such as soap, hand sanitizers, paper towels, toilet paper, washing and cleaning materials/disposables and 
o Clean dust and surfaces of all TFU rooms , 
waiting areas, washrooms, meeting room, stock/pharmacy by daily weeping, mopping and washing. o 
Help and extend possible assistance to HF staff and guards/watchman for setting up rooms, corridors, stock and waiting areas within the health facility  .

o Responsible to make sure that proper infection prevention, personal hygiene, TFU waste management prevention/control measures and safe environment protocols/recommendations are in place.

o Observe and report any maintenance related work, loss/ damage or replacement of any item/equipment/tools to the TFU in-charge.

o Maintain all health facilities, cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary manner and properly functioning.

o To be aware of and fully understand TFU general cleaning and health care waste management related procedures and policies/instructions and adhering to/comply with when carrying out daily assigned tasks and activities.

o Responsibility for performing other tasks or following instructions assigned by Amerclinic or the office that are within the employee’s capabilities and within the scope of this duty.

Job Requirements:

• Basic level of literacy/education and numerical skills are preferred. 
Languages ​​Skills: 
• Dari and Pashto.
• Previous experience of working with/in office/ health facility/hospital of at 
least one year is preferred. Previous experience of working with/in office/ health facility/hospital of at least one year is preferred.
• The applicant must be from a
local/neighboring community with written agreement from household decision makers to work in health facility as per organization policies and procedures. • 
The applicant must have proper physical and mental health status to undertake daily TFU cleaning and waste management activities

The holder of this position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the TFU.
