Community Partners International (CPI) is a global nonprofit organization based in the United States that works to enable underprivileged Asian communities to satisfy their basic requirements in terms of sustainable development, health, and humanitarian assistance. Established in 1998 by American physicians and volunteers, the charity now provides services to over three million individuals each year. Helping communities impacted by violence, displacement, and war, as well as those in isolated and challenging-to-reach locations and disadvantaged by poverty and exclusion, is the main goal of Community Partners International.
Job Summary:
The Communication Coordinator will be essential in informing important audiences in Bangladesh and abroad about the activities and effect of Community Partners International (CPI) and its partners. Finding gripping impact and personal stories, assisting with visual storytelling via photography and film, and producing promotional and educational materials are all part of this role. Assisting program teams and partner organizations with their communication requirements, the work also include improving CPI’s social media presence, communicating with media sources, and making sure branding and communication standards are followed.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Storytelling:
- Collaborate with CPI staff and partners to identify and produce compelling human-interest and impact stories in consideration of CPI local and international audiences.
- Develop promotional and informational materials, including print, digital and video content.
- Support visual storytelling by capturing and curating high-quality photographs and videos.
Social Media and Digital Engagement:
- Enhance CPI’s social media presence in Bangladesh by developing and managing content strategies.
- Monitor and analyse social media performance to optimize audience engagement.
- Ensure digital content aligns with organizational goals and branding guidelines.
Media and Public Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets to increase coverage of CPI’s work.
- Prepare press releases, media briefs, and other communication materials for external audiences.
- Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with relevant stakeholders.
- Translate materials between English, Bangla, and Rohingya as needed.
Branding and Communication Standards:
- Ensure adherence to CPI’s branding guidelines across all communication materials.
- Provide training and guidance to CPI and partner staff on branding and communication standards.
Event Support:
- Support program teams in organizing events and capturing key moments through photography and videography.
- Develop promotional content and coverage for events to maximise visibility and impact.
Partner Support and Capacity Building:
- Build strong relationships with local partners and provide training on communication strategies.
- Support partners in developing materials that align with CPI’s branding and messaging.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and recommend improvements.

Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within an INGO or development organization.
- Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and visual storytelling.
- Experience working with international donors and understanding donor communication preferences is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong command of social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English and Bangla.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with local and international teams and external stakeholders.

Languages:

Note to Candidate:
- Candidates are required to declare in advance should there be any relative or family member currently employed in CPI. Failure to do so can lead to termination of the employment contract even after successful selection.
