Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience of working in the communication/research/knowledge management/innovation/ urban programming from any reputed organizations. Persons having any experience of incorporating/scaling up of social innovation will be highly appreciated.
- Experience in the handling of development –sector related graphic design for any other international organizations.
- Experience in photography, video shooting and editing, multimedia production
- Experience in data collection, analysis and use of child-focused information to produce behavioural change communication products.
Demonstrated/ Proven experience in working with inter- departmental, cross –organizational and cross-cultural teams.
Knowledge and Skills:
- At least 6 months’ diploma course on desktop publications/photography/ video or multimedia
- Research experience and publication (both qualitative and quantitative)
- In depth knowledge and application of graphic designing software and programmes including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indexing, MS office, Quark Xpress etc.
- In depth Knowledge and application of multimedia software (adobe premiere/ Liquid Edition etc.) and operating professional video camera using different format (avi, mpeg1, mpeg2, wmv, PAL, NTSC etc.).
- Developing partnership for social innovation experience in editing photos for print and digital content creation
- Research publication and op-ed publication in the newspaper Experience in editing videos for print and digital content creation
- Attitude that is team focused with the skills and ability to work independently and collaborate among an interdepartmental collaborative environment

Responsibilities & Context
Project Name: Cox’s Bazar Child Safety-net Project
The Bangladesh Child Safety-net Project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at ending child marriage and violence against children. It promotes the rights and empowerment of children, especially girls. Working areas of this project is Cox’s Bazar Upazila, Ramu Upazila, Teknaf Upazila and Ukhiya Upazila.
Purpose of Job:
The Specialist – Communications, Innovation & Field Engagement (Cox’s Bazar & Bandarban) plays a dual role focused on regional storytelling and national-level innovation communications. This position is responsible for leading creative communication, graphic design, innovative programming support, and knowledge management for World Vision’s programming in the Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban Area Program Clusters.
The role supports 40% of its time in field communications—capturing compelling stories, visual content, and donor visibility assets while serving as the communications focal point for two high-priority clusters. The remaining 60% focuses on driving creative content development and knowledge management under the Bangladesh Child Safety Net Project portfolio.
The incumbent will:
• Design and implement knowledge management strategies, including documentation, dissemination, and learning products.
• Produce technically advanced and audience-specific visual assets including infographics, branded publications, and edited video content.
• Develop creative layouts and marketing content for web, print, and digital platforms aligned with WV branding.
• Support internal visibility, learning, and reputation management through consistent, impactful communication products.
• This role directly supports World Vision’s efforts in program learning, donor engagement, and branding by combining field-level engagement with national-level innovation storytelling.
Key Objectives of the Position:
60% – Communications, Design, Innovation & Knowledge Management
• Design high-quality visual content including infographics, reports, campaign materials, and digital assets aligned with WVB brand guidelines.
• Document and disseminate best practices, success stories, case studies, and research findings from urban programs.
• Maintain a well-organized digital repository for storing and sharing all key knowledge products, ensuring internal and external accessibility.
• Develop creative concepts and materials for campaigns and social media platforms supporting innovation and knowledge dissemination.
• Organize and support innovation challenges, pilot programs, and scale-up initiatives in collaboration with external partners.
• Facilitate partnerships with universities, private sector actors, UN agencies, and NGOs for collaborative innovation and research.
• Support capacity-building for urban teams and partners in storytelling, innovation, and digital engagement.
• Contribute to the development of advocacy briefs and articles to highlight urban program impact and learning.
• Provide graphic design and editorial support for technical publications, donor presentations, and internal learning materials.
40% – Field Communications Support (Cox’s Bazar & Bandarban)
• Act as the field communications focal for Cox’s Bazar and Bandarban Area Clusters under the matrix guidance of the Lead Coordinator – Field Communications.
• Support the collection and development of high-quality field stories, testimonials, photos, and videos for internal and external use.
• Coordinate donor visibility materials and ensure timely delivery of communication outputs aligned with global quality and brand standards.
• Support local media engagement and emergency communications efforts during humanitarian situations.
• Facilitate storytelling training and mentoring for frontline staff to improve field-level content contributions.
• Strengthen cluster-level branding and ensure all communications align with World Vision’s power claims and messaging framework.
