OCHA’s mission is to mobilize and coordinate effective and principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors in order to:

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Admin and Finance the incumbent will undertake the below tasks;
Ensure stable Power supply within the compound;
Start the generator;
Turn the generators on and off in the compound;
Check the oil levels of the generators;
Supervise power connection and occasional trench digging;
Perform generator changeovers;
Record daily generators fuel usage;
Liaise with the City power to ensure the compound is connected to the city power whenever it is required;
Supervise refueling of generators and maintain clean Generator areas;
Repair faulty security lights in the compound;
Perform general wiring wiring tasks within the compound;
Conduct general maintenance of the water system and plumbing work in the compound;
Oversee Purification of water for the offices;
Supervise and fill water tank as necessary;
Monitor and manage sewage levels and grey water disposal, ensuring timely removal when full;
Inspect ablution units, ensuring cleanliness, and repair broken taps and toilets;
Service all Air conditioners within the compound;
Collaborate with contractors to ensure quality minor repairs within the compound;
Supervise the distribution of purified water to OCHA Offices and other agencies by cleaners;
Ensure that compound containers are well-maintained and initiate repairs as needed;
Oversee compound cleaning and ensure proper rubbish collection;
Supervise compound cleaners, casual laborers, and technical electrical work;
Assist the procurement section in purchasing and collecting invoices for required items;
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors.

Required Skills and Experience
Education and Experiance:
Bacheloer’s Degree preferably in Facilities Management , Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering , Civil Engineering, or other relevant science is required.
High School certification with three additional qualifying years in above fields may be accepted in lieu of the Bachelors degree
Technical Knowledge in vehicle and relevant equipment repair is desirable.
Language: Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic is required.
