The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) has a zero tolerance of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (SEAH) both within the organization and of beneficiaries. Prevention of and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) is the individual and collective responsibility of all NAC officers, management, staff, consultants, and volunteers, who are all required to familiarize themselves with, agree to, and act in accordance with NAC’s Ethical Guidelines and Commitment, NAC Child Protection Policy, and NAC PSEAH Policy, at all times – both during and outside working hours – and participate actively in introductory and refresher trainings. Job Description:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cook every kind of delicious food according to the office menu for the staffs in Ghazni office.
  • Preparing tea for the departments at breakfast and lunch and for the staffs whom are
  • staying in Ghazni at night
  • Bring daily need materials for the cooking from Bazzar.
  • Observe hygiene of kitchen, dishes and every material in the kitchen.
  • Cook for the staffs, Gest and training participants of SRO in Ghazni.
  • Use healthy material for cook.
  • Responsible to report every expense of the kitchen to the admin.
  • Keep the tools of the kitchen safe and clean.
  • Wash the dishes daily after eating of breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
  • Do the works according to the supervisor advice
  • Any other duties that requested by Supervisor.
  • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and food preparation area.
  • He also helps with preparing ingredients for foods, beverages, and cocktails, testing new dishes and planning menus.
  • Other responsibilities include removing rubbish, washing bins, and disinfecting the entire kitchen to meet health and safety standards.
  • He will also prepare food in non-official days/nights for NAC staff based on requirements.

  •  Pashto, Dari

Qualifications Required:

  • At least should read and write to be a 12th grade graduate is an asset

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years experience in cooking

Skills Required:

  • Fluent in Pashto and Dari
  • Should read and write
  • Good organization behavior
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
