Context
Task description
Under the overall supervision of Chief FTS and direct supervision of FTS Innovation & Technology Manager, the UN Volunteer Data Analyst/Technical Writer will undertake the following tasks:
• Assist the Innovation Manager in understanding and documenting technology processes, business processes, team strategies and project issues.
• Assist on Technical Writing, Preparing Publications, preparing digital messaging, and preparing bulletins or other relevant publications; experience with Project Management is an asset,
• Produce written materials including, but not limited to, process related flows, user manuals, technical specifications, installation procedures, test plans, SOPs, MOUs, Bulletins and training guides and video tutorials and materials in coordination with technical units, as required.
• Develop in coordination with technical units’ proprietary knowledge base articles, document reusable components, prepare Internal training materials, and operating procedures and provide feedback to the technical Development or Operational teams.
• Conduct internal product demonstrations or provide internal product training to employees;
• In direct coordination with the innovation manager and chief FTS review and upload relevant documentation & information to various UN proprietary databases such as the innovation database and compliance databases.
• Assist in tracking projects and resources as they relate to approved innovation projects including resource allocation (technical and human) and expenditure tracking.
• Assist in creating, maintaining and updating webpage based on SharePoint platform;
• Assist in creating standard forms & reports using Power BI and similar tools;
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• When working with (including supervising) national staff or (non-)governmental counterparts, including Implementing Partners (IPs), the incumbent is strongly encouraged to set aside dedicated time for capacity development through coaching, mentoring and formal and on-the-job training.
