The IRC opened the country program in Afghanistan in 1988. Our programs span the range from humanitarian relief to early recovery and development activities, focusing on child protection, education, economic wellbeing, health, and power. The IRC works in 10 provinces throughout Afghanistan, among which some of the most security volatile, and employs over 1000 staff.

Job Description:
Registration and Data Entry:
- Register all returnees arriving at the temporary relief facility, ensuring complete and accurate demographic and vulnerability information.
- Ensure timely registration and send data to the server.
- Issue ID numbers or tokens to returnees for tracking and access to services.
- Verify documentation and cross-check with UN/IOM/partner data if necessary.
Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with IRC health and protection teams to ensure newly arrived returnees are referred for medical or protection assistance as needed.
- Coordinate with other agencies/partners present in the TRF to ensure data consistency and avoid duplication.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with returnees, explaining the registration process and ensuring informed consent.
- Conduct CRA awareness session to the returnees and ensure that everyone know how to use the CRA channels.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the number and profile of returnees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential files and records.
- Alert the TRF Manager or relevant team members of any unusual trends, large groups, or urgent cases (e.g., unaccompanied children, medical emergencies and etc).
Shift Responsibilities:
- Day shift staff will handle high-volume registration and support coordination during peak hours.
- Night shift staff will ensure continuous presence and registration of any returnees arriving during night hours, maintain records, and prepare handover notes for day staff.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Communication, Literature, Social Sciences, Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 year of experience in survey, data entry, administration, or working in a humanitarian setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, outlook and PowerPoint)
- Excellent knowledge of data collecting through tablet/smartphone
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with vulnerable populations respectfully Excellent attention to detail.
- Female candidates only (as per operational need to ensure gender-sensitive service delivery in the TRF)
- Fluent in Dari; knowledge of Pashto and English is required
- Willing to work long shifts (more than 8 hours), including weekends and public holidays.
- Candidates must be willing to reside or commute to Islam Qala TRF.
