Admission Requirements for Departmental Scholarships at the University of Padua for Afghan Students in Italy:
University of Padua Departmental Scholarships eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Bachelor’s or Single-cycle degree applicants should hold a non-Italian upper secondary school certificate or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree to access Master’s degree programs;
- Should not be a citizen of Italy, but those with dual citizenship, including Italian;
- Must not already reside in Italy, but the following applicants to be residing in Italy:
- Non-EU citizens holding a valid residence permit allowing enrolment at an Italian university;
- EU citizens and applicants who have resided continuously in Italy for longer than nine months.
- Citizens of Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, the Republic of San Marino, and Switzerland are the same as EU citizens.
- Applicants should apply for one or more English-taught degree programs of the University of Padua by the deadlines. Applicants can even apply for three-degree programs.

Each degree program has an Academic Committee that selects qualified applicants and grants scholarships to deserving students. The Committee takes into account candidates’ academic proficiency in their field of study, as well as the quality and records from their primary school.
By the aforementioned deadlines, applicants can verify the scholarship selection results on the University of Padua’s official website. If all candidates have the same score, the youngest candidate and those submitting for the first time are given preference. In this instance, the University reserves scholarships on an extraordinary basis for candidates from the second application period.
