Overview of position
Our client maintains a vehicle fleet of around 50 vehicles in Dhaka and six field office (Chattogram/Rangamati, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Barishal and Khulna) locations. To operate those vehicles,qualified professional drivers are required. Our client in Bangladesh wishes to receive driver service from reputed candidates with the respective experience.
Role objectives
Following deliverables are expected from drivers.
- Drive our client vehicles as per UN and local rules.
- Wear proper uniform during duty hours.
- Do all travel-related pre-checks including morning check-up before each travel to ensure safety.
- Always ensure proper and updated vehicle documentation including vehicle cleanliness.
- Record all vehicle movement and maintenance on daily basis.
- Notify supervisor for each vehicle related issue including maintenance requirement.
Note: Drivers are expected to show a 100% professional conduct as they perform their duties, within and outside working hours.
Project reporting
This role reports to the line manager.
Key competencies
- Drivers should have valid driving license with at least 10 years of experience (at least 5 years experience with manual gear).
- Provide complete biodata with name, age, full address, National Identity Card details, driving license number, annual medical fitness certificates and police clearance for pre-testing and assessment before being assigned for work.
- Drivers should have minimum educational qualification of class VIII and have proper level of English
- Drivers should be capable to communicate both in Bangla and English.
- Drivers with Defensive Driver Training (DDT) and UN background will be given preference.
Team management
This role has no team management responsibility.
