Overview
The Midwife is a part of Jhpiego’s Emergency Flood Response Program (EFRP) to support post-flood reproductive health improvement of women of Sunamganj district. She will be responsible for supporting implementing the post flood emergency health activities at Sunamganj District. She will ensure the delivery of high-quality ANC, PNC, FP and nutrition counselling for the pregnant and lactating mothers and their children.

Responsibilities
Services Delivery
Provide high quality pre-conception services, antenatal care (ANC), postnatal care (PNC), essential newborn care (ENC), reproductive and adolescent health care.
Identify risk pregnancy/ danger sign and communicate with medical officer.
She will advise to refer to higher facilities if required.
Provide basic emergency obstetric and neonatal care.
Conduct normal vaginal delivery, if required
Provide postpartum family planning counseling and services.
Ensure appropriate/ rational use of medicines/ drugs.
Ensure supply, storage, use and maintenance of MSR, instruments and update medicine and other stock-ledger regularly.
Documentation and reporting of maternal and neonatal health care services. Provide post abortion care (PAC), post abortion family planning (PAFP) services
Provide health education to the adolescents, newly married couples, and postpartum women regarding hygiene practice, prevention of sexually transmitted infections and gender-based violence’s (GBV).
Conduct on job training to the support staff, cleaner, Counselling of Family planning and ANC, PNC Services.
Mentoring the support staff and cleaner during cleaning.
Monitor and supervise proper waste management, environmental cleanliness, and infection prevent practices
Coordinate with key stakeholders, CHW who work SRH related activities at district and upazila level.
Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and senior management team.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. She will act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. She will follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of clinical experience as a midwife in NGO Health sector.
Diploma in Midwifery from any recognized reputated institute.
Valid BNMC certificate and registration.
Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla
