ASLO is registered with Ministry of Economy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.  Registration number (2852) was awarded to ASLO through NGOs Department of Ministry of Economy Kabul Afghanistan.

LEGAL STATUS

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

Job Description:

  • Cross-checking the completed events supportive documents against the activity tracker and calendar.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents (hard copy and M&E database).
  • Generate data reports from the M&E database and perform backups in M&E shared drive to ensure data preservation.
  • Checking the quality of data regularly; reviewing softcopies of data to ensure quality and reliability within existing data. This includes spelling errors, missing fields, inappropriate answers to questions, etc.
  • Identifying and reporting on data quality as received from the field Requesting the review and/or resubmission of inaccurate or unacceptable data.
  • Submits accurate and proper monitoring, supervision, training, observation, and other relevant reports to the project supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assists the Project Manager in the development of the final versions of various reports.
  • Planning and strategizing statistical data entry and analyses processes undertaken by different projects of Office in Research.
  • Ensuring all data and ethical use of data.
  • Running basic statistical analysis, organizing data in infographics, and combining and rearranging data from source

Job Requirements:

  • minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, practical training in M&E is essential.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years‟ experience in a similar position involving data collection, documentation, PDMs  and reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing good quality documents for different audiences and managing emergency and humanitarian, protection monitoring information management systems.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and produce good quality data and information tables and reports
  • Proven skills in data management with concrete knowledge of open source tools such as Kobo Toolbox or CommCare platforms
  • Computer literacy with possible advanced Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms access
  • Knowledge in computer statistical packages (EPI INFO, SPSS and Stata)
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in participatory survey/research methods & Kobo system
  • Experience in use of data to inform decision-making, planning, and performance monitoring
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ready to work in difficult environmental conditions
  • Must be flexible and culturally sensitive.
