Job Description:
Main Objective: Under the supervision of Senior HR Officer, English teacher is responsible for managing the overall class activities, such as developing class curriculum, planning, teaching, monitoring the progress and evaluation of the entire class for effective outcome. He must come to the class prepared with an appropriate teaching method applicable for each student because the class might be very volatile and dynamic consisting of a group of adults whom work as Security Guards, Cook, Cleaners and Drivers.
General description and main activities

- Curriculum Development : Design and implement engaging and comprehensive English language curricula, ensuring alignment with academic standards and learning objectives. Incorporate creative teaching strategies to foster an interactive and stimulating learning environment.
- Instructional Delivery : Deliver high-quality English language lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including proven approaches and methodology and interactive activities, to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
- Individualized Support : Identify and address individual learning needs, providing additional assistance and guidance to students who require further support. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to develop personalized learning plans that promote academic growth and student success.
- Spending adequate time preparing your lessons so that students\’ needs and language development are met. You will need to create a Scheme of Work together at the start of each week to be displayed in the classroom. Daily Lesson Plans need to be filled in the day before
- Administer the placement test and place the total score on the class grid provided.

- Make and keep updated the lesson plans, keep attendance register and notify staff supervisor in case of absence.
- English in Action programms should also be centered on your teaching syllabus.
- Conducting a pre-assessments to determine student’s level of English knowledge and share the staff language level to HR department
- Classify students based on their English knowledge
- Prepare the material based on the results of assessments
- Preparation of lesson plans and material for teaching.
- Preparation of handouts to dissemination in the class prior to the class
- Assigning homework to the class with regular follow up to ensure students do the homework
- Providing feedback on the assigned homework to ensure students understand their mistakes and learn every day.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Excellent English knowledge, graduate from literature faculty is preferred.
Holding English certificate from a credible English institute.
Technical skills:
Proficient user of MS Office (Excel, word, outlook)
Work experience:
Teaching experience at least 3 years
Experience with international organisations is preferred.
Languages:
Required: English, Pashto, and Dari
Qualifications / Personal skills:
Able to define learning objectives for different groups of students
Able to develop training materials
Able to conduct quality English classes
Has strong planning and organization skills
English language diploma is mandatory
Knowledge of developing course curriculum and excellent planning skills
