Job Description:

Overview:

The Dedicated Women Social Services Organization (DWSSO) is currently implementing the “Empowering Resilience: Humanitarian Aid for Earthquake Affected Families in Zinda Jan, Herat” project. This project focuses on providing essential support to earthquake-affected communities, with a special emphasis on shelter, health, hygiene, and psychosocial support for women and girls.

 

Objective of the Position:

The Field Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the on-the-ground implementation of the project activities. This position involves direct coordination and facilitation of project interventions, liaising with the community, and providing logistical support.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of project activities as per the approved work plan.
  • Assist in carrying out of the initial survey for selection of beneficiaries in the area.
  • Facilitate the distribution of materials and resources, such as shelters, hygiene kits, and other supplies.
  • Act as a key point of contact between DWSSO and the community, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in identifying beneficiaries and conducting needs assessments.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation for project activities.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of project sites, including shelters and distribution centers.
  • Assist in data collection for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on field activities and progress.
  • Collaborate with other team members, local authorities, and community leaders to enhance project effectiveness.
  • Participate in community meetings and workshops as required.
