Terms of Reference

The difficulties in processing VAT claims at DEDO led to the need for this post for the UNHCR Bangladesh mission.
Constant follow-up is necessary to streamline the process of the ongoing accumulation of unclaimed VAT refunds.

The office and the immediate supervisor receive support and administrative help from the junior finance clerk. The incumbent is under the supervision of the Finance Associate. The supervisor regularly provides him or her with direction and instructions on the procedural elements of the VAT Refund procedures. To guarantee the efficient provision of services and the accomplishment of goals, the incumbent may need to communicate with other internal or external entities in accordance with particular instructions.

The Junior Finance Clerk will perform the following duties directly under the direction of the Finance Associate:

• Make plans for routinely submitting VAT claims to DEDO.

Requiremennts :

a. Education
• Completion of secondary education with a High School Diploma.
b. Work Experience
-With one year of previous job experience relevant to the function.
-Candidate must be familiar with the procedures at DEDO.
-Experience in processing VAT Refund requests.

c. Key Competencies
• Excellent command of English and Bangla languages, both written and
spoken.
• Skills in the documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

d. Desirable qualifications & competencies:
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal
oversight.
