MI has been registered in Türkiye since 2014 and has since built up its own office structure. MI now has two offices in southeastern Türkiye (Kilis and Gaziantep). The Malteser InternationaI team provides technical guidance and oversees management and administration of the partner-implemented projects in Türkiye and Northern Syria. MI is responsible for the procurement of the main medical supplies in Türkiye, the reporting and application as well as the quality assurance. In addition to the implementation of humanitarian and transitional aid projects, Malteser International´s strategic objective is the strengthening of the civil society structures in Türkiye and Syria. Malteser International focuses in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye on the sectors of health, livelihood, protection as well as social cohesion.

For its work in Northwestern Syria and Türkiye, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Finance Officer – National Position.

MI’s Finance Officer will ensure financial compliance, assist the Finance manager with project budgets, support implementing partners, and collaborate to achieve organizational goals.

Your responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records, review reports, prepare for financial reviews, process cash requests, and assist with audits.
Collaborate on project budget development, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Adhere to donor regulations, identify & address financial risks, and participate in procurement committees.
Liaise with external partners, respond to inquiries, and provide financial guidance to colleagues.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement best practices.
Work closely with finance and program teams to achieve organizational goals.
Your profile:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, in the NGO or INGO sector.
Fluent written and spoken in Arabic and English languages. Turkish is an asset.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and auditing practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
