The IRC’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) Department strives to achieve excellence in supply chain management by providing accurate, timely, and effective information to IRC operations and programming management teams. We accomplish this through clear and accessible documentation (policies, procedures, mentorship, etc.), developing significant formal and informal learning and knowledge sharing opportunities, and handling regular and engaging communications. We do this across all GSC functions, including risk and compliance, systems and data, climate, and operational execution of grant requirements. Our focus lies in fostering teamwork between program offices, regional offices, subsidiaries, and affiliates to drive interpersonal efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain operations.
Job Overview: 
The Manager of Global Supply Chain Transformation identifies the knowledge management, learning, and communications activities that will serve the Global Supply Chain (GSC) annual strategy and handles the planning and execution of those activities, in collaboration with GSC, Global Finance, Global IT, regional, programming and other meaningful collaborators.

Key Working Relationships: R&C team, CGSCO, Regional Supply Chain Directors and Managers, Regional Systems Advisors, Global Supply Chain Leadership team, Global Finance Transformation Director and team, Integra (ERP) Cross-Functional Business Lead, IT Communications Specialist.
Responsibilities:
General: 
•Write and maintain the GSC Strategy and annual workplan sections for which they are responsible.
•Collaborate effectively with other GSC members and IRC departments on joint initiatives for shared achievement, most commonly Global Finance. Coordinate closely with members of the GSC department and key collaborator groups to negotiate ambitious priorities within GSC’s workplan objectives.
Knowledge Management, Learning, and Communications Responsibilities:
•With the engagement of supply chain subject matter experts, lead the development and deployment of evidence-based, practical policies and standards that promote best practices and compliance. Oversee the promotion and adoption of policies and procedures in collaboration with key collaborators.
•Oversee the supply chain learning strategy for supply chain and non-supply chain staff, from orientation to continuous learning across policies and regulations, systems and data, risk, etc. Work with finance, programming, and other relevant departments to ensure mutual inclusion in each other’s policies, procedures, guidance and learning materials, and events as relevant.
•Support regional supply chain staff to provide learning (training) support to CRRD and RAI offices on supply chain system changes, new policies, procedures, guidance and ways of working.
•Support the mapping and definition of competency frameworks and associated learning pathways for supply chain staff, as well as other relevant staff. Develop corresponding change management strategy to roll out the adoption of these promotional and learning pathways.
•Ensure the structure and content of IRC’s intranet meet staff needs for access to job tools, guidance and processes, virtual collaboration and sharing, and professional development. Work with the GSC Department Manager to keep sites updated per agreed structure.
•Working with the Chief Global Supply Chain Officer (CGSCO) to design and run global supply chain meetings.
•Coordinate, supervise and be responsible for communications and change management plans.
•Use IRC’s communication channels to regularly share information with all staff.
•Create visually impactful content to reinforce core messages.
•Track and analyze success metrics and provide regular updates on status and progress.
•Document key learning and use this to improve knowledge management and revise change management plans.
•Perform other duties related to Global Supply Chain Learning and Development as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, adult education, organization development or a related field is required. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Master’s or relevant certification preferred. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
•At least three years’ experience in supply chain, preferably for an international development and/or humanitarian aid organization. Preference for demonstrated cross-functional work with finance, IT, and programming teams.
•Deep demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and interactive learning methods.
•Strong familiarity with conventional channels of knowledge bring together and transfer, as well as technology-assisted learning applications.
Skills and Abilities
•Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, particularly an ability to make complex topics easily understood.
•Proven learning material production skills.
•Able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, successfully engaging their input.
•Good judgment about involving others in decision making.
•Strong strategic, analytical, organizational, and systems thinking skills with capacity to see the big picture and then build out the details and plans.
•Proactive, resourceful and results oriented.
•Ability to learn and apply new technology quickly.
•Willingness to proactively stay abreast of KML methodologies and techniques for their application to GSC’s approach.
Travel
Willingness to travel to IRC offices within the region up to 10% of the time.
Compensation:
Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
