Job Description:

Job Purpose: 

The Guard works in office to minimize sensitivity, to take care of staff security. In addition, take care of vehicle while the team is providing services. He assesses the security and report security situation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Respect working hours.
• Keep the security inside and outside the office.
• Facilitate function of the activities inside and outside the office makes the ambience quiet.
• Ensure the security of all staff and items inside and outside the Office / health center.
• Take care of the IMC assets inside and outside of the office such as generator, Vehicles, water     supplies, destruction of non-reusable materials and etc.
• Take care of any problems before occurrence at the office.
• Guard has to report any incident to his direct supervisor and or Country security in charge 24/7.
• Take care of all visitors and guests inside the office with security policy (Registration, Visitor ID card,  searching and etc.).
• Arrange the visitors.
• Patrolling of the compound during the day and night 24/7.
• Take care of the main gate especially during the staff movement’s time.
• Good communication with all staff/visitors.
• Phone check with all staff when they are travelling from one province to another province.
Night duty (out of office hours)
• Make sure that all the electrical equipment’s are off after staffs leave the office.
• Checks and keep closed all the doors and windows after the working hours.
• Keep on all security lights during the night and report to security regarding damage of assets.
• Make sure that all main and other gates to compounds are locked
• Patrols the compound during the night and ensure that all things are normal.
Things to avoid.
• No CD or video playing at night inside compound
• No loud or rude noise inside compound
• Do not invite friends/ relatives to office, especially out of office hours.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications : 

Ability to read and write. Preference will be given to candidates with a certificate of 9th and above

Experience : 

• Minimum one- years’ experience work as a security guard with National or International INGOs or (similar agency).
• Preference will be given to candidate with more experience in National or international INGOs or     similar agency.
• Be an honest person.
• Be able to solve small local problems.
• Maintain good relations with the local people
• Be able to work in any part of the project
• Be familiar with the environment and geography
• Locals of duty station will be given preference
