Job Summary

Under the overall supervision of the UNDP-East Area Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the cleaning and protection of all the equipment of shimol project in the powerhouse and as well as in solar park. The applicant is significant responsible under this vacancy. beside s/he will work in close cooperation with local authorities, community representatives, implementing partners and UNDP-East staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• To ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and infrastructure at the hydro/solar project site and solar park.

• To prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.

• Conduct regular patrols of the project site to detect and deter any unauthorized activities.

• Monitor access points, including gates, fences, and other entry/exit areas.

• Respond to security alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

• Report any security breaches, safety hazards, or suspicious activities to the designated authorities.

• Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations. Coordinate with project management and local law enforcement as necessary.

• Guards are responsible for monitoring and ensuring the security of the premises they are assigned to. This may include patrolling the area, checking surveillance cameras, and responding to alarms.

• Guards often control access to buildings or specific areas within a facility. They may check identification, issue visitor passes, and ensure that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.

• In some settings, guards may also provide customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing information about the facility.

• Guards are responsible for the maintenance and proper use of security equipment, such as radios, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.

• Cleaners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in their assigned areas, which may include offices, public spaces, restrooms, and other facilities. This involves tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.

• Cleaners often handle the collection, disposal, and recycling of waste. This includes emptying trash bins, sorting recyclables, and ensuring that waste removal complies with regulations.

• Cleaners may be responsible for restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries in restrooms and other designated areas.

Skills: 

Language:

• Excellent written and oral English skills a necessary requirement.

• Excellent spoken and verbal skills of Pashto and Dari languages required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Years of experience:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cleaning, safety, protected and storing of project assets

Job Location: 

• Dare-i- Noor, Jalalabad

Education:

At least writing and reading skills in native language.
