Join UNICEF as a Human Resources Officer (Talent Outreach and Employer Brand) and drive impactful strategies to attract a diverse and talented workforce. In this role, you will craft and implement innovative talent outreach and employer branding initiatives aligned with UNICEF’s People and Culture Strategy. By fostering strategic partnerships, advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, and managing global employer branding campaigns, you will enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice. Responsibilities
- Support in the Development and Execution of comprehensive talent outreach strategies to engage donors, partners, and potential candidates etc., in alignment with UNICEF’s organizational goals.
- Support offices in developing and executing comprehensive talent outreach strategies to attract diverse candidates including targeting.

- Conduct research on DEI related topics and support in the development and execution of DEI outreach strategies, campaigns, initiatives and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and strengthen guidance for the maintenance of the established global talent outreach community.
- Participate in UN working groups and external forums focused on talent outreach/ employer branding.
- Lead the creation and execution of employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation as an employer of choice.
- Monitor and analyze employer branding metrics to inform strategy adjustments.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations to enhance talent pipelines.
- Collaborate with Offices, business units, sections to align talent outreach efforts with business needs.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed of emerging trends in talent acquisition and employer branding.
- Manage communications related to talent initiatives, including promoting talent news and successes across various channels.
- Oversee career-related social media channels to enhance engagement and visibility of talent initiatives. (LinkedIn, Facebook careers, etc.)
- Represent the organization at career fairs and industry events, effectively communicating our employer brand.
Requiremesnts
Minimum requirements:
- Education:
- An Advanced University Degree (master’s or equivalent) in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
- First level degree may be considered in lieu of two additional years of relevant work experience.
- Work Experience:
- Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, sourcing, succession planning is an asset. Prior experience in working in a client facing role, implementing HR strategies and solutions is an asset.
- Prior experience in engaging with all categories of staff, including most senior staff in the organization is required. Prior experience from a high-paced environment with changing priorities is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in strict adherence to tact, discretion and confidentiality is required.
- Skills:
Strategic
- Experience and ability to implement targeted and innovative human resources strategies to address clients’ people-related needs.
- Ability to implement innovative HR programs within a fast paced, evolving, and wide organizational setting.
Technical
- In-depth technical knowledge of the principles and concepts of human resources management.
- Ability to identify and analyze systemic issues, formulate opinions and make conclusions and recommendations to resolve same.
- Excellent knowledge of organizational and HR information technology systems and tools.
Interpersonal and Communication
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a diverse organization tailoring language, tone, style and format to match audience.
- Ability to empathize with client managers, supervisors and staff while advocating for consistent and equitable applications of promulgated HR regulations and rules.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
