How can you make a difference?
Donor recognition and visibility are key factors in managing successful partnerships, and UNICEF is increasingly investing in improving the recognition and visibility that we provide to our public and private sector partners in order to showcase our programme results and support our partners’ advocacy efforts to raise funds for children. To support this process, the PPP section is seeking a donor recognition and visibility consultant to develop a visibility and communications plan for UNICEF’s key public and private partners, as well as produce relevant content, including (but not limited to) social media posts, blog posts, and articles highlighting the results achieved through their partnership with UNICEF. The consultant will also be responsible for monitoring relevant social media profiles to gather existing content and ensure it is disseminated to partners at the right levels (country, regional and headquarters).
In line with the demands of the role, the consultant will work in close cooperation with the ESARO Communications team to streamline efforts and ensure a coordinated approach to donor and partnership communications.
The profile requires a specific skillset and time investment which is currently not available at the regional office. It is expected that the consultant will spearhead a process which can then be embedded in the team’s regular functions.
Scope of Work
Goal and objective: Under the supervision of the Senior Advisor for Public and Private Partnerships, the consultant will position and promote UNICEF’s programmes and results achieved with key public and private sector partners. This will support fundraising efforts regionally and facilitate our advocacy for additional funds to UNICEF programmes, with a focus on high quality, flexible funding.

Develop a recognition and visibility plan for key public and private sector partners to the region.
Produce targeted content showcasing the results of the partnerships between UNICEF and key public and private sector donors to be published on multiple platforms (including social media; UNICEF websites) in close coordination with country offices, programme, communications and public and private partnerships teams at country, regional and HQ level.
Gather existing content from the region and liaise with relevant colleagues to ensure broad and effective dissemination.
Provide donor visibility and recognition support to country offices vis-à-vis specific partners and projects, including through monitoring of existing content and the development of tailored messaging.
Work relationships: State the responsibilities of the parties involved in the assignment. Elaborate on the work the relationship the consultant will be engaged with (e.g., partners, stakeholders etc.)
